Today, Israeli astronaut Eytan Stibbe will begin initiating the experiments he took with him to the International Space Station as part of the Rakia Mission. Sheba Medical Center sent 6 unique experiments with Stibbe that will test the boundaries of human physiology in space and on Earth.

Specifically, Dr. Yaacov Lawrence, a Sheba Oncologist, developed a device to monitor the function of astronauts’ immune systems in space which will be used on this flight into space.
