Annual Event of the American Friends of Sheba

Last week, I had the distinct honour of speaking at the annual event of the American Friends of Sheba Medical Center at the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale. Themed ‘The Art of Healing: The Future of Medicine Designed by Israel’, this event shed light on the innovative work being led by Prof. Itai Pessach at Sheba Tel HaShomer City of Health’s Safra Children’s Hospital, the largest children’s hospital in the Middle East.

Sharing the platform with Prof. Pessach, whose leadership and dedication are nothing short of inspiring, we heard stories about patients from Israel and Syria.

These narratives reminded us of why we do what we do – spreading ‘Hope Without Boundaries’.

As a representative of the Australian Friends of Sheba Medical Centre, I am privileged to be part of this mission and continue building bridges of hope and healing.

Immense gratitude to Dr. David Pulver, MD, National Chair of AFSMC, Luisa Cannella, Southern Board Chair, Dr. Joel Policzer, Southern Vice Chair, Dr. Barry Silverman, Israel’s Deputy Consul-General Mike Driquez and Naama Avigour -Driquez, Sheri Zvi, Chief Development Officer, Jessica (Rozental) Ben Nun, Southern Regional Director of Development, and Brian Abrahams, CEO of American Friends of Sheba.

Their collective efforts made this event a success.

Whether helping those most in need or advancing healthcare globally:
when you support Sheba, you are making a difference.
