We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sir Frank Lowy, the prominent Australian businessman and philanthropist, for his incredibly generous donation to Sheba Medical Centre. Sir Lowy’s support will facilitate construction of a new, state-of-the-art intensive care unit, which will provide critical treatment to patients in need and help save countless lives.

Sir Lowy’s life story is one of perseverance and determination. As a Holocaust survivor, he experienced unimaginable hardship and tragedy at a young age. Despite these challenges, he went on to fight for Israel’s independence in 1948 and later founded the Westfield shopping center empire in Australia. His hard work, innovation, and dedication to excellence turned Westfield into one of the most successful and influential retail brands in Australia.

In 2017, Sir Lowy sold Westfield, and later that year was knighted as part of Queen’s Birthday Honours. His legacy of philanthropy and compassion, including the latest donation to Sheba, are a testament to his commitment towards making a positive difference in the world.
