Today, Sheba Medical Center announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Opgal Optronic Industries Ltd., a subsidiary of defense manufacturer Elbit Systems . The military-grade advanced, thermal imaging technologies will allow physicians to detect physiological processes within the body and display these changes on a digital screen.
The integration of the technology into Sheba’s systems is intended to improve the efficiency and efficacy of surgery and treatment in multiple areas.
“The solutions worked on by Elbit and Opgal experts and Sheba doctors are not only significant for Sheba and Israel but will have an international impact,” said Dr. Eyal Zimlichman, Sheba’s Deputy Director General, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Innovation Officer.
