Due to the progression of an aggressive form of retinopathy, 7-year old Ukrainian twins Mykhailo and Timofey were granted entry to Israel by the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They were immediately brought to the Sheba Medical Center’s Goldschleger Eye Institute, where they were treated by Prof. Tamara Wygnanski and Dr. Amir Alhalel, Director of the Goldschleger Institute.

“We feel very safe here and everyone knows that the best doctors are in Israel. I am very thankful to Prof. Afek (Deputy Director of Sheba Medical Center) and the eye doctors who are trying to save Mykhailo’s vision,” said the twins’ mother, Anna.
